Sneak Peek: Moose ~ {Pensacola, FL Pet Photographer Allison Shamrell}

Monday, February 28th, 2011

I spent a wonderful afternoon on Saturday with a 34-pound ball of energy: Moose, the border collie-labrador mix! He’s a year and a half, and his parents’ only “child”. You might have seen him around town before: he won a ribbon at the 2010 Splash Dogs competition, and is training (currently a “green dog”) with the Flyball team! Plus, he’s adorable. Who couldn’t love this little guy?

So, without further ado, here’s your sneak peek of Moose! “Readyyyyyy…”

I can’t wait to share the rest of the photos with you! Thanks for a great session, Moose!

Sneak Peek: Buford & Rio! ~ {Pensacola, Florida Pet Photographer Allison Shamrell}

Monday, January 31st, 2011

Buford & Rio’s mom, Lori, contacted me after seeing the video I made of Cinder the Chihuahua, which you can find here. She wanted the same thing for her lovely labrador retrievers, Buford (age 14 and a half!) and Rio (just two and a half!). So the videos are coming, and here is a sneak peek of just a few photos before she gets to see all them all!

This is the old guy, Buford:

An old dog with an old door- I love shooting in historic downtown Pensacola!

Buford’s younger brother, Rio, strikes a pose in the studio! He was such a natural!

Hope this tides you over until Friday, Lori! See you then for your ordering session!

Mac & Samantha ~ {Pensacola, Florida Pet Photographer Allison Shamrell}

Saturday, November 13th, 2010

I like to think of these two dogs as an all-American pair; and how fitting, since they’re owned by a Marine and his wife! This is Mac the lab puppy and Samantha the beagle, and they are just classic in every sense! Mac is super active and really friendly, and knows a few tricks but mostly did them just for the promise of treats! Samantha is a little sweetheart once you sit down with her, but let her loose and her nose is the boss. We had a great time in their backyard, and except for a quick interruption by the neighbors’ dog, these two were pretty adept at posing for me! Except when there was a stick to chase, of course! Here are just a few of the photos:

And I also got to spend a while with their humans! :) Here’s a small peek at the spectacular light we got to shoot in…

Thanks, Katelynn & Tod! Enjoy your photos!
