Miss Ada Mae ~ {Pensacola Pet Photography by Allison Shamrell}

Can I be completely honest?

I think this dog is ADORABLE.

Ada Mae (if you missed her Sneak Peek) is 1/4 dachshund, 1/4 rat terrier, and 1/2 chihuahua. And for being a mixture of those breeds, and only a year old, she’s remarkably well-behaved. This little lady (yes, that’s the best word to describe her: lady) kept her mother Nora and I laughing during the entire session. Nora, thanks so much for bringing in your downright charming pup!

Sneak Peek: Ada Mae ~ {Pensacola Pet Photography by Allison Shamrell}

Friday, August 12th, 2011

This session has been a long time in the making! I first met Miss Ada Mae (and her mom, Nora) at an event in Panama City Beach back in March. They’ve kindly kept in touch ever since, and the fabulous duo made the trip 4-hour round trip here to my studio in Pensacola for a session! So I was thrilled to see them again, of course!

Ada Mae is incredibly behaved for a one-year-old dog that’s two parts Chihuahua, one part dachshund, and one part rat terrier (did I get that right Nora?)! Enjoy just a few photos of this lovely girl!

She’s got a big pair of ears for such a small dog!

I think her fur is just beautiful. You can see different colors of spots on her chest!

We tried out a fun new background color!

Thanks again for making the trip, Nora! I hope you both enjoyed your Whataburger on the way home! :)

Ladies Night Out! ~ {Ft. Walton Beach Pet Photography by Allison Shamrell}

Saturday, July 16th, 2011

This Thursday night, dozens of ladies and their dogs came out to 3 Dogs & A Chick for July’s downtown Ft. Walton Beach Ladies Night Out! (That’s a mouthful, haha!) Anyways, this is a fun, once-a-month outing that’s hosted by one of the downtown businesses. Next month it’ll be the new cupcake shop next door, Cupcakes By the Beach! But this month 3 Dogs and A Chick stepped up to the plate, and bunches of two-legged and four-legged ladies made their appearance. It was a lot of fun, and people won a LOT of door prizes! (As luck would have it, the prize I donated went to one of my recent clients… but she’s going to pass it on to a friend, so everybody wins!)

It was great to meet everyone that came out – and I mean everyone! Here are some of the happy faces I got to see on Thursday.

Tobey & Jack ~ {Pensacola, FL Pet Photography by Allison Shamrell}

Friday, April 15th, 2011

These dogs are just funny – and I think they know it!

Tobey is the dachshund, and Jack is the peigle (that’s a shar-pei/beagle mix). Tobey tends to run in circles when he gets excited – and I think he loved seeing all his photos, since he practically wore a circle-shaped hole in the ground during our ordering session! It’s hilarious to see him get so worked up (especially at the dog next door – you’ll see his rapt attention at the backyard fence in the slideshow!) and Jack just sits. And watches. And probably thinks to himself, “Here we go again.”

Enjoy your video, Jack and Tobey! Try not to get too excited.

A few of my favorite photos from the session:

Thanks for such a fun session, Chad and Michelle! I can’t wait to see the products you ordered!

Daizie & Wink ~ {Pensacola, FL Pet Photography by Allison Shamrell}

Thursday, March 17th, 2011

These were two very interesting dogs to work with! I think the owners and I were laughing throughout the entire session, just because these pups are total opposites of one another! Daizie, the light-colored Papillon-dachshund mix, is a total mama’s girl. She stuck as close to her mom as possible, for the entire session. So the fact that we have photos of her, by herself, is nothing less than a small miracle. Wink, on the other hand, is the dark-colored little dachshund mix, and it was rare for him to give me a couple feet of space! He’s a people-loving dog – especially when those people have treats.

So I hope you enjoy the video of these dogs that are both FULL of personality!

Here are a couple of my favorite photos from the session, and the owners’ favorite too.
