Mini-Sessions on May 28, 2011: a small sampling of the photos we took!

~

Sound intriguing? Call the shop at 850.243.7297, or stop by in person to reserve a time slot. (You’ll see my work hanging in the store!) But hurry: the entire day (10 spots) sold out within a week last time! And now that word is out about how much fun we had, well, you better hustle!

Do you live in Pensacola, and driving to Ft. Walton Beach sounds like too long to spend in a car with your dog? Perhaps one of my standard sessions will suit your needs. See your options here, and email me at allison@allisonshamrell.com with any questions or to schedule a session of your own.

Saber, Tayte, & Zara – and an announcement! ~ {Ft. Walton Beach, FL Pet Photography by Allison Shamrell}

Sunday, May 8th, 2011

This wise old man, sweet old girl, and crazy young lady all live together with their mom, the fabulous Nicole of 3 Dogs & A Chick. It was a lot of fun to meet them and hang out in their (awesome) yard, photographing the way they simply always are. I’ll remember this session for how relaxed it was – more than just because we didn’t try for any running and jumping photos! There is a calm about these dogs, this household, that is enviable. You could feel the sense of harmony as these pups happily wandered around, sniffing the leaves and monitoring the squirrel activity among the trees. It was almost therapeutic, so thank you, Nicole, for opening your family to me and my lens.

Plus, a big piece of good news from the Porch Patrol!

Allison Shamrell Photography will officially be INVADING 3 Dogs & A Chick for mini-sessions at the end of this month!

That’s right, you can sign up now for a time slot on Saturday, May 28th to get photos like these of your own mutts! Here’s what you can look forward to:

~  30 minutes of session time with Allison, which will be spent capturing the personality of your dog(s) in a fun, no-stress, non-posed way!

~  That’s enough time to result in at least fifteen images you’ll want to frame. I guarantee it. (Probably more, but I like to under-promise and over-deliver.)

~  Completely amazing backgrounds to work with: the spacious park and dock area behind 3 Dogs & A Chick, the cute courtyard of the shop’s previous location, and a studio backdrop inside. Basically, more variety than you’ll be able to handle.

~  A private, password-protected online gallery of your images, so you can look them over dozens of times before deciding on your favorites.

~  A hands-on look at the entire product line-  there’s so much more than prints! You’ll see everything I have to offer.

~  20% off all of these products for timely orders!

~  A custom video slideshow like the one you just watched in this blog post.

~  As many phone conversations, emails, video chats, and letters-by-pigeon as you need to determine what’s best for your house and lifestyle. I want to give you something you absolutely love – and nothing less!

Since this is half the time of The Beagle Package, it’s also half the price. $65 will get you everything listed here, plus an 11×14 print and digital image of your favorite photo! Those two goodies alone are a $55 value… do the math!

To make an appointment: call 3 Dogs & A Chick at 850.243.7297, or stop by in person. Courtesy of their website, here is a map to their (new) location.

Grab your time slot today, before they’re gone! (Can’t make it on Saturday? Call the shop anyway, and let them know you’d like to be placed on the waiting list if Sunday opens up. With enough interest, I’ll be there Sunday as well.)

Do you live in Pensacola, and driving to Ft. Walton Beach sounds like too long to spend in a car with your dog? Perhaps one of my standard sessions will suit your needs. See your options here.

And of course you can contact me with any questions you have. My email address is allison@allisonshamrell.com and I can’t wait to hear from you!

Easter Egg Hunt! ~ {Fort Walton Beach, FL Pet Photography by Allison Shamrell}

Tuesday, April 26th, 2011

Hundreds of people came out to 3 Dogs & A Chick on Saturday for an incredible Easter Egg Hunt! I say it was incredible, and by that I mean incredibly short. I heard “Ready, Set, Go!” and less than a minute later, there wasn’t a single egg left on the ground! Many people had trained their dogs to pick up the eggs, but I don’t think anyone was prepared for the ridiculous free-for-all that it turned out to be! Inside the eggs were all sorts of goodies, like treats and gift certificates to the store, and after the hunt ended, everyone walked around to socialize, see the rescue groups in attendance, and make a few paw print paintings!

The weather was gorgeous, the location was perfect, and everyone seemed to be in a great mood. It couldn’t have been a better day!

Here are just a few photos from the day – if you were there, and would like to see the full gallery of photos, please contact me at allison@allisonshamrell.com and I’m happy to send you the link + password!

I love the flowers!

Is it just me, or does this dog look ridiculously happy?

You gotta love bunny ears on a dog.

I think I caught this dog as he was thanking his owner for bringing him out to the festivities – look at how happy he is!

There were lots of exciting things going on!

… and then someone said “Squirrel!”

After a while, a few of us got pretty tired.

There are many more in the gallery… and if I didn’t have the chance to meet you and your dog, I’m very sorry! I’ll be back to 3 Dogs & A Chick in the future for a very special event that I can’t announce yet… but trust me, it’ll be just as much fun as Saturday!

Happy Valentine’s Day! ~ {Pace, Florida Pet Photography by Allison Shamrell}

Monday, February 14th, 2011

Listen, nobody ever said Valentine’s Day is for humans only. These dogs are here to prove it!

Big thanks go to We Tuck ‘Em Inn for an amazing, busy day! We practically had a line out the door!

Warning: some pictures are extremely cheesy and/or cute. No need to adjust your monitor.

Some of the dogs that stopped by decided to redecorate my set…

But they were still sweeties!

Getting tired? So is she!

Brady ~ {Pensacola, FL Pet Photographer Allison Shamrell}

Sunday, January 9th, 2011

Now that I’m back from Christmas break in Oregon and can finally breathe, I had a minute to look through a few photos I took of my parents’ dog, Brady! He’s a 5-year-old cockapoo (that’s a cocker spaniel and poodle mix) and goes about life as if he were the absolute king of the household. His two favorite things to do (or at least the things he did most often when I was there) were perch himself on top of the couch cushions and run around outside barking at squirrels and cars. So it was pretty hard to get him to sit still for the photos we took outside! I wish I could have had more time with the little guy, but regardless, it was a wonderful Christmas break. Welcome to 2011, everyone!
