Exciting news, everyone! Cancel your plans for Saturday, reschedule the family reunion, and call in sick to the kids’ football games. I have new plans for you.

This Saturday is the 2010 Barktoberfest of Pensacola, an annual festival for dogs and dog lovers to enjoy the cooling fall weather and relax with contests, races, food, and huge amounts of puppy love! Allison Shamrell Photography will be there (at table #68, to be specific- near the food) taking photos and talking to YOU! I’ve spent the week getting everything together, talking with local groomers and shop owners, and telling Bailey to get excited. And here’s more exciting news: all of the proceeds from the day – 100% – benefit the Humane Society of Pensacola. All the more reason to spend $5 to enter the dog-owner look-alike competition, right?!

Here’s the best news for you: all day, I’ll be available to take your picture- and it won’t cost you a thing! I’ll be there with camera in hand, ready to give you a freebie portrait. So give your dog a quick brush-down Saturday morning, wear your best duds, and come say hi! I’ll have treats for your pup; the photo is a treat for you! :)
