Some of you may know that I was a Great Books major in college. It was an absolutely wonderful program to be a part of – we studied a mixture of English and philosophy, with plenty of theology and history thrown in as well. Every day consisted of reading the classics, writing papers & discussing our ideas in seminar-style classes. I absolutely loved it! So imagine my excitement when I meet a labradoodle named SOCRATES!! I can’t even count how many stories & narratives we read about (the historical) Socrates’ methods of reasoning and questioning… so even though Socrates the dog didn’t interrogate any of us as we played on the beach, I was thrilled to get to know this goofy pup.
Socrates wanted a CLOSE-UP! And doesn’t he look handsome in black & white?
Haha – this “down – stay” was not as easy as he makes it look!
This was one of my very last frames as we headed in at the end of the afternoon. I love it!
Tom & Rochelle, thank you for introducing me to your funny little boy. I can’t wait to see you all again soon! :)
